In September 2006 we had a Mad Hatter Tea party with Rene on the grounds of his amazing 217 acre art collection and sculpture garden called The Di Rosa Preserve located in the heart of the Carneros wine region in Napa Valley. A gift to the public from passionate art collector, Rene di Rosa, the Preserve houses nearly 2,200 works of art in all media by more than 900 artists from Northern California.

Rene (naturally) played the role of the Mad Hatter and I was Alice.
